A traditional Libyan women’s silk wrap worn for weddings and special occasions

At a Libyan wedding, the rdaa is unmistakable. The long silk wrap is worn over embroidered dress with intricate traditional jewellery, its stripes and metallic threads catching the light as it moves. Rdaa are woven on the traditional nawl, or misadda, with fine threads or wires of real silver and gold worked directly into the silk.

Rdaa takes its colour from these striped weaves: warm cream and sand alongside dusty blush, soft mauve and taupe, crossed by narrow gold-toned lines. The two sides are intentionally different—one quieter, the other carrying more colour—so different parts of the pattern come forward depending on how the scarf is wrapped.

Care — Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not bleach, wring, or tumble dry. Lay flat or hang to dry. Steam on low if needed. Handle with care around rough surfaces, sharp jewellery, and pins to prevent snagging.

We ship worldwide. Depending on the destination, customs duties or import taxes may apply upon delivery. Any such charges are payable by the customer.

Returns
We accept returns within 14 days of delivery of the last item in your order. Items must be unworn, unwashed, and in their original condition, with the original tags and packaging intact. Return shipping costs apply unless an item arrives damaged or incorrect.
