Meaning “the Green Mountain” in Arabic

Jebel Akhdar rises along Libya’s northeastern coast, a limestone highland where juniper, wild olive and Mediterranean vegetation cover the slopes. One of the country’s wettest regions, its greenery and pale rock form a landscape distinctly different from much of Libya’s arid interior.

The scarf draws from that meeting of vegetation and stone. Muted olive, moss and sage spread through a weathered, mottled pattern, with pale limestone tones and earthy brown breaking through. The texture gathers and thins across the print, recalling greenery spreading unevenly over the mountain’s rocky slopes.

Care — Hand wash separately in cold water with a mild detergent. Do not bleach, wring, or tumble dry. Lay flat or hang to dry. Steam on low if needed. Handle with care around rough surfaces, sharp jewellery, and pins to prevent snagging.
